International Cri du Chat Awareness Day

On May 5, Dr. Laurel Daniels Abbruzzese commemorated International Cri du Chat Awareness Day, part of International Cri du Chat Awareness week (May 1-7) , by giving a lunchtime presentation to DPT students. Her talk provided an introduction and overview of the condition. Cri du Chat Syndrome is also known as 5p minus. It occurs when there is a loss of genetic material on the short arm of the fifth chromosome.
